The Battle of Earth was an Important 9 year Theater in the Zeon Civil War fought between the Factions of Earth, Zenora Empire, and The Principality of Zeon for strategic control of Negotiations in order to gain support from the Earth Factions between to either the Principality of Zeon or Neo Zeon in they're Slaughterous Civil War that has already lasted 2 years.
The battle began on March 23rd of UC.0099, immediately after the Fall of the Zeon Munitions factory of Corusilum, 2 days ago on March 21st UC.99. where Zenora Imperial forces had hoped to gain allies by attacking Earth posing as the Principality of Zeon in order to turn the Earth Federation and other earth factors against Zeon This operation would later be clearly known as Operation Torment.
The Battle however reached an Unexpected turning point, when the Principality of Zeon had learned of this initial Invasion, after the Battle of Side 7 and conducted an Orbital Invasion of the Earth's Arctic Circle, where despite suffering heavy losses, managed to establish a beachhead on Earth on the Snowy desert of Antarctica.
The Battle on Earth would eventually become a seven sided engagement in which would later erupt the entire world into Ruins.
The Battle finally came to a close when the Principality of Zeon, managed too liberate the City of New York, on October 29th, UC.108 revealing to the Earth Factions that all the time the Zenora Empire was the Invaders, and not the Principality of Zeon.
The end of the Battle of Earth brought about an end to the Treaty of Grenada, and the birth of the United Orbital Nations.
Battles throughout the rest of the Zeon Civil war would remain in Space, for the rest of the Conflict.
