The Corga Campaign commonly referred to as The Battle of Corga Colony was a massive turning point in the early months of the Zeon Civil War, in the Principality of Zeon's defensive campaign against Zenora Imperial forces, and was also known as the first engagement in the whole war, where the Principality of Zeon's old One Year War Era Solar Ray Colony Lazer had fired upon an enemy force after 13 years of being left abandoned.
The victory at Corga, finally brought about a halt to the Zenora attacks on the Zeon Homeland, and further led to the massive destruction, of millions of Zenora soldiers, which in turn finally forced the Zenora Empire to cease their attacks within Zeon Space in order to recover.
About 4 days after the victory at Corga, The Principality of Zeon while being led by Char Aznable, launched a full counter attack against the Zenora Empire at A Baoa Qu by May 1st, UC 0097, eventually reclaiming the destroyed Space Fortress, and finally eliminating the last remaining Zenora strong hold from Zeon Orbital Territorial Space.
