The Decent on Antarctica also and clearly known as OD-Day, and Orbital Drop Day was a major Operation conducted by the Principality of Zeon, in hopes of dropping on Earth and establishing a Beach Head on the Planet in hopes of preventing any more Zenora false flag attacks on the Earth Federation and raising tensions between the Powers. The Orbital drop on Antarctica was the first major Engagement in the Battle of Earth during the Zeon Civil War.
The victory against Zenora in Antartica allowed the Principality of Zeon to establish a Beach head in the Arctic Circle in which would be transformed into a Staging area for Zeon Operations on Earth.
After the victory in Antarctica, Zenora began Negotiations with the Earth Federation attempting that they would ally with them against their war with the Principality of Zeon while secretly attacking them at the same time with captured Zeon Mobile Suits mostly by Zaku II's, Dom's Goufs and Z-Goks that were lost in the Fall of both Corusilium and Zaden.
