The Defense of New Axis fought on the 3rd, year of the Zeon Civil War between the Principality of Zeon, and Zenora Empire at New Axis, was a major stand off following the fall of Corusilum. The Attack was planned by Kox in hopes of destroying the Principality of Zeon's second strong hold, and establishing a staging area on New Axis allowing the forces of the Zenora Empire to surround Side 3, and hook up with the remaining forces at Zaden, and crush the Zeon homeland from both directions.
The Attack was repulsed however due to the Principality of Zeon having to many Aces guarding the Asteroid, as well as a strong defensive barrier guarding it.
After the failed attempt at New Axis, Zenora would later abandon all other plans for a second Invasion of Munozo, and instead decided that the events of Operation Torment, would allow the Earth Federation to enter the war and Destroy the Principality of Zeon for them instead.
