The Invasion of Jaburo commonly referred to as The Battle of Jaburo, Decent on Jaburo or Assault on Jaburo was a major Engagement in the final Months of the One Year War fought in South America, between The Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation.
Despite having a unique number of forces supported by both Heirshy, and Char Aznable the Battle was considered a strategic failure to the Zeon War Efforts.
In the Aftermath of Jaburo the Principality of Zeon was never again able to launch a coordinated attack against the Earth Federation's Mobile Suit factories In South America.
The Battle's loss even allowed the Earth Federation to conduct a second counter offensive that would be led by Amuro, and Tanaka Marsha in the Liberation of the Earth from the Principality of Zeon leaving only North Africa left in Zeon hands.
Discovery of Jaburo[]
Jaburo had often been a target for the Zeon Military; however due to its unusual location, a frontal assault proved difficult. In the early weeks of the One Year War Zeon began Operation British, attempting a space colony drop on the South American rainforest in an attempt to destroy Jaburo.
The attempt failed as the colony broke up over the Pacific Ocean and landed in Australia. After the failure of Operation British the Zeon realized the only way to take out Jaburo, was a frontal assault.
Prior to Char Aznable's preemptive strike, the Zeon had been working on an attack strategy, using multiple battalions of Mobile Suits and a super powerful Mobile Armor being designed in East Asia by Zeon scientist Ginias Saharin. However, before these plans could be implemented, the war was turning in Federation favor, and the Mobile Armor project suffered major setbacks, such as the creator going insane and killing the Apsalus Project team and taking the Mobile Armor for himself.
In the events of Operation Odessa, and Heirshy's disappearance, where he was later declared Deceased by both sides, the future Invasion of Jaburo was grinned to a halt, but was rebooted once again when Heirshy was shown alive under the command of Commander Dozle Zabi.
