The Invasion of Side 7 was an unexpected Assault on the neutral Colony of Side 7, that was attacked and Invaded by the forces of the Zenora Empire. Though the colony had well defenses from the Earth Federation, the forces of the Zenora Empire managed to gain the upper hand in the attack with the use of Battleships, allowing them to suppress the Earth Federation easily and allow the Mobile Suits on the ground to continue there attack.
The Principality of Zeon eventually arrived to reinforce the Earth Federation, but Earth Federation vessels instead of joining them in the fight mostly due to Operation Torment, fired on them instead, forcing most of the fleet to turn around allowing only a single Carrier to make it into the Colony.
Though a the Carrier managed to drop 991 Mobile Suits into Side 7, Amuro Ray engaged them filled with rage, due to the events of Torment, blaming the Principality of Zeon and it's aces for the Invasion on Earth.
It would be from Side 7 that the Principality of Zeon would learn of Operation Torment. Eventually Amuro backed down after Heirshy talked him out of his decisions, but still refused to fight along side Zeon.
At one point Zeon and it's aces began to push the Zenora Empire back but Haman Karn arrived from out of no where with Axis reinforcements and forced the Principality of Zeon into retreat resulting into a clash between her and Amuro.
Although Haman was defeated in the Duel, the Principality of Zeon was eventually forced to withdraw due to not having enough troops to face the Zenora Empire's army of about 399,000 soldiers. Amuro Ray now gaining trust on Heirshy, and Char Aznable (Despite his continued hatred for him, due to the Third Neo Zeon War) eventually joined the Principality of Zeon in the aftermath of Side 7's fall.
Following the engagement, Axis Zeon would then Ally itself to the Zenora Empire, much to the Horror of the Principality of Zeon, which at this point boosted the Zenora Empire's ranks and strength in power.
